What Is An Energy Audit?
What is an Energy Rating?
Energy Audits typically include:
-
Analysis of the building’s energy use;
Evaluation of thermal leaks and of insulation R-rating and integrity;
Assessment of heating and cooling system efficiency,
and operation safety;
Estimation of lighting and major appliance efficiency.
Energy Ratings provide specific information regarding the energy performance of a building, enabling owners to qualify for some federal or state subsidies for energy-efficiency measures. This information also may be useful in decisions on property transactions (rental, lease, sales or purchases).
Our Audits Include a Comprehensive Home Performance Assessment.
In addition to the energy audit and analysis, Energy Savings Plus certified technicians will help ensure the safety and comfort of your home by:
Checking the level of toxic carbon monoxide generated by heating equipment;
Looking for combustion and combustible gas leaks;
Reporting any sign of water infiltration, moisture, or mold.
Energy Savings Plus technicians are certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI), a New York-based national agency that provides training and accreditation to building and energy professionals – www.BPI.org.
